About Sesimbra
Sesimbra is a fishing town on the Arrábida coast south of Lisbon, set around a sheltered bay with colourful fishing boats and a Moorish castle on the hilltop above. The town is known for its fresh grilled fish restaurants along the waterfront and the stunning beaches of the Arrábida Natural Park, including Portinho da Arrábida with its crystal-clear waters. Further south, wild Atlantic beaches like Meco and Bicas offer dunes, pine forest and a free-spirited atmosphere. The Lagoa de Albufeira, a coastal lagoon, is a favourite for windsurfing and birdwatching.
