About Vila do Bispo

Vila do Bispo is the southwesternmost municipality of Portugal, fully inside the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. It includes the parishes of Sagres, Raposeira, Budens and Barão de São Miguel and some of the wildest beaches in the country: Cordoama, Castelejo, Barriga, Amado and Ponta Ruiva. Cape St. Vincent was the "end of the world" for the ancients, with its lighthouse and sweeping Atlantic views. It is a paradise for surfers, birdwatchers and hikers on the Rota Vicentina trail.
