About Odeceixe

Odeceixe is a parish of the Aljezur municipality marking the northern border of the Algarve with the Alentejo, along the Seixe stream. The village, with its whitewashed houses stepping up a small hill, has a restored windmill at the top and views over the valley farmland. Odeceixe Beach, at the mouth of the stream, is shell-shaped and lets you swim in either the ocean or the calmer river. It is one of the most emblematic stops on the Rota Vicentina and the Costa Vicentina.
