Odeceixe is a hidden gem straddling the border of the Algarve and Alentejo, tucked into a green river valley that opens onto one of the most unusual beaches in Portugal — Praia de Odeceixe, where the Seixe River flows alongside the sand before merging with the Atlantic. The village itself is a cluster of whitewashed houses on a hillside, surrounded by the unspoilt landscape of the Vicentine Coast Natural Park.
