About Lagoa

Lagoa is a municipality in the central Algarve, between Portimão and Albufeira, home to some of Portugal's most iconic beaches: Carvoeiro, Marinha, Benagil (with its world-famous sea cave), Caneiros and Senhora da Rocha. The Lagoa Cooperative Winery produces DOC Lagoa wines, one of the four Algarve wine denominations. The municipality also includes the village of Ferragudo, the Nossa Senhora da Rocha chapel (one of the oldest in the Algarve) and the Seven Hanging Valleys viewpoints — the region's finest coastal hike.
