About Faro

Faro is the capital of the Algarve and the region's main gateway, with an international airport by the edge of the Ria Formosa. The walled old town — the Vila-Adentro — preserves the Cathedral, the Arco da Vila gate and the Municipal Museum housed in a former convent.
