About Albufeira

Albufeira is the Algarve's most famous seaside resort, with a historic centre that still shows traces of its Moorish past, narrow lanes and whitewashed houses tumbling down to Praia do Peneco — reached through a tunnel cut into the cliff. The municipality has more than twenty beaches, including Praia dos Pescadores, Praia da Oura, Praia de Olhos de Água and Praia da Galé, all set against the golden cliffs typical of the Barlavento.
